And the world keeps spinning round

blah blah blah....

Had loads of fun the past few days. Spent my Saturday just chilling with JY who just came back from Taiwan. Rented a few DVDs (Ocean's 13 and Friends again!) and just watched them over at my place. Great way to spend your day when you're broke.

Sunday was loads of fun too! Went church as usual and after that had dinner with a few of my church friends. It's been awhile since we had a meal together like that. Anyway we went to Cafe Cartel at Marina Square and I had some pork ribs thingy that was quite good, though it gets a little boring after awhile. Went over to Swensen's next for ice cream! Not a great way to spend your day when you're broke. Nonetheless, I enjoyed myself. (:

Oh yea I just read finish this book called "A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey. It's a book about how this drug addict (the author) goes through rehab and comes out clean. Beware though, the book is based LOOSELY on his journey and many events that he mentioned in the book are either highly dramatized or totally fake. But other than this, it's a great book to read. Oh yes and if you're really sensitive to vulgarities, I advise you to avoid this book cause it's full of it.

Here's a list of other books that I would recommend:

The Time Traveler's Wife
Kite Runner
A Thousand Splendid Suns
The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time
Case for Faith
Case for Creation
Case for Christ

P.S. Here's a few funny videos that WJ told me about during dinner on Sunday. Enjoy!

Lasagna

I made myself lasagna for dinner today! So proud of myself! The lasagna turned out pretty well other than it's pretty dry cause I forgot to add in half a cup of water that is supposed to be added in and for the fact that I left it in the oven for a bit too long. But I'm still proud of myself nonetheless. (:

(I don't have any pictures btw cause poor me don't have a camera phone and I'm too lazy to dig out my Dad's camera which is locked in some cabinet.)

Now, I have cooked like errr... 5 times for the past 19 years in my life, and all within the past 2 years! Here's a list of what I've cooked/baked before, not including instant noodles.

1) Cookies
2 & 3) Carbonara ( It's pasta)
4) Oreo Cheese Cake
5) Lasagna

And yes, I've never fried or made any egg dishes before in my life. Other than throwing them into my instant noodle. I think I want to try making pizza one day. DY told me he has a great recipe for pizza. Man I just love Italian food.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

I spent the whole day watching Friends and eating chips, Ben and Jerry's and pizza! Wahaha. Ok now I've got to do some running tomorrow. Anyway, Friends has got to be the best show on Earth! Here's something funny I heard from one of the episodes. (:
Joey: If the Homo Sapiens were, in fact, "homo" sapiens, is that why they're extinct?
Ross: Joey, Homo sapiens are people.
Joey: Hey, hey, I'm not judging!

Alex is a stupid forgetful boy.

Alex is a stupid forgetful boy.
Alex spent 2 hour plus walking around town alone looking for a nice birthday present.
Alex looked till the shops were closing but yet could not bear to buy a lousy random present.
Alex found it at the last moment and was happy.
BUT...
Alex left his friend's birthday present in a cab.
Alex is a stupid forgetful boy.

A verse to remember

Proverbs 3:5-12 (The Message)

Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he's the one who will keep you on track.
Don't assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline;
don't sulk under his loving correction.
It's the child he loves that God corrects;
a father's delight is behind all this.
